Description:
This Kukicha is from a traditional Japanese selection. Tea artisans prune the most tender branches (kukicha = branch tea) in such a way that they stimulate plant growth. They cook and dry these shoots and store them in brown paper wrapped for three years and then heat them in ovens with a circular motion. That is why we speak of an aged and higher quality kukicha.
Kukicha is an increasingly appreciated tea because it helps digestion and given its elaboration with tender shoots, apart from the leaf, its content is very high in antioxidants but low in theine.
